Always Rafting presented me with the worst vacation experience of my life. I'm an 18-year-old girl from Long Island, New York who is steady in my beliefs. The guide we were assigned at Always Rafting, Don, introduced himself by telling my sister and I that in college we must adhere to our own core ideals (meaning not to listen to our professors), or we'll come out of the education system a bunch of "flaming liberals". For the entire whitewater journey, Don consistently "enlightened" uswith the truth of American reality- snakes are the Devil and deserve to die, Utah is prepared to shoot down ISIS from the mountains with their AK-47s, all news is fake, the government is breeding alien animals with environmental experiments, and "we have to make America great again in any way that we can". After being encouraged to keep people from imposing upon my beliefs, this was disturbing to listen to for the entirety of the rafting trip (which, by the way, was not of the best quality, but I suppose the guides cant do much about the river rapids). Otherwise, the equipment was dirty and outdated, and the location was remote and apparently dangerous, with the constant threat of rattlesnakes and lack of medical assistance nearby. Overall the experience with Always Rafting was uncomfortable and we wanted it to end as soon as possible. Would not recommend at all.
