Great place to hike and camp. Ancient rock art is everywhere! Beautiful area
This is a beautiful state park just off the interstate. The campground was quiet and shady.
Lots to see. Rock formations, ie, petroglyphs. Great for astronomy lovers. Hiking and rock climbing. Off road vehicle friendly. Mountains near-by to explore. Great campground and picnic areas. Also a nice museum. Clean Bathrooms and showers and even a place to wash your pots and pans.
A fun place to spend an afternoon with you family. Has a great place inside for kids to play
Thanks for the experience.
If you are interested in the Fremont Indian culture, this is a great stop. Most of the park is to be explored on your own- many of the petroglyphs and pictographs are unmarked. If you want the National Park experience of driving up to a sight and stretching your elbows for a picture, then hopping back in your car, this isn't the place for you. But if you want a more relaxed atmosphere, the park is great. Don't forget to stop and talk to the park rangers. They have lots of insights and useful information for exploring the area.
